A darker grey might have given you more contrast, but it also might have taken away some of the movement of the quilt that results from your color placement. As always, everything here is beautiful.
And, LOVE those blocks for Nancy!Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00653638027545802163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219691809988138892.post-1099808428899206802012-07-12T17:24:30.601-04:002012-07-12T17:24:30.601-04:00I, too, hate to even think about cutting a fat qua...I, too, hate to even think about cutting a fat quarter group. I have one very traditional right now that I am looking for a pattern for. I am wondering how your first pattern would look with it! I agree with you, a darker "brick" may have made the coins stick out more - maybe even black? Not sure - too bad you couldn't take a picture of it and then play with the pattern in a photoshop type program?! I really like what you did with the orphan squares - so child will be a very lucky recipient :D~Laurie~https://www.blogger.com/profile/01821627347608119392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219691809988138892.post-43401608779552484622012-07-12T10:56:36.064-04:002012-07-12T10:56:36.064-04:00May not be what you imagined but if you can let th...May not be what you imagined but if you can let that image go you will still see a beautiful quilt top!

I'm still hanging onto my echo - haven't got bella yet! I agree though ( in the nicest possible way!) and would have either made the spacers larger in that same colour or gone up a shade or two (darker) to make them stand out a wee more.Little Island Quiltinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12861046636908606582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219691809988138892.post-82345402606557325212012-07-12T00:59:02.510-04:002012-07-12T00:59:02.510-04:00MMMMMM, I'm loving everything you've shown...MMMMMM, I'm loving everything you've shown here!
