The Pottery Barn quilt would be gorgeous in Innocent Crush. It would really pop. If I see a pattern for it, I will let you know about it. It does remind me of a lonestar that went out to the edges of the quilt.
According to "The Collector's Dictionary of Quilt Names & Patterns" by Yvonne M. Khin this is a Lone Star. (One Hundred and One Patchwork Patterns, page 72) Also: Star of Bethlehm, Star of the East. It is basically a one patch quilt. Personally, to me, it is a Lone Star that just didn't stop! Thank goodness we have rotary cutters and strip piecing. Can you imagine tracing around a pattern and using scissors for all those diamonds! Go for it, Cindy! It is an awesome quilt!
it looks like a 'lonestar' with background pieced with 45degree diamonds as well....
