The quilt is named "Groovy Petals" because the flowers have sort of that retro groovy vibe. And the best thing is - it's easy!
The background is simply pieced squares and rectangles with super simple applique that I did by machine. The magazine quilt is made with "origins" by Basic Grey for moda. The beautiful quilting was done by Terri Kanyuk.

very cute!!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! Origins and au.then.tic definitely have the same sort of vibe...just slightly different colors. never thought about it until now. the quilt is great...love it ;)

ReplyDeleteI picked up this magazine a few weeks ago. I absolutely love this pattern. It looks fun and simple.

ReplyDeleteHave a super great sewing day.
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt and would love to make one...but I can't find the pattern in the magazine in Australia, so can you give me a clue and post the dimension of the background blocks so I have an idea of the size of the applique shapes etc... I am really excited about making this one!! Thanks
