Chances are if you're a quilter, you've made a
Swoon quilt or at least have it on your to-do list.
I used this Alexander Henry floral as my color inspiration. (Just love that piece!)
Pulled more from the stash...
And decided to throw in one piece with some aqua in it.
The binding is a MM crosshatch and the back DS's polka-dot from Joann's with a strip of that glorious Alexander Henry floral.
It's a fun quilt to make and a beautiful one to own!
Absolutely beautiful!! I have only managed to get 2 blocks done, but it is high on my to-do list to finish :o) I love the fabrics you chose also!

ReplyDeleteThanks!
Beautiful, and I love that touch of aqua!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this pattern the best!? I purchased it, and it is certainly on my to-do list. Also, I've been wanting to do something in that Orimono style for a while. After reading your post from a week or so ago, I decided it was time to give it a go! I made a potholder for a friend of mine for Christmas, and it was so much fun to use those tiny scraps, I've decided to make three more! Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteNice Cindy, and you are so right....its on my list...I have the pattern and its "in line" to make....I don't do the modern thing but I believe this pattern would work with many different fabrics.
