I spent some of my time this weekend piecing a backing for my Modern Alphabet quilt.
When I attended Tula Pink's lecture, she talked about the quilt backings that she has custom designed and printed on fabric. The backings contain all the information about the quilt and are essentially a gargantuan quilt label.
Not wanting to buy custom fabric, I thought I'd make a simple version using the idea.
Well, really simple, it's got my first name and the year. And I wanted to continue the use of the alphabet on the back. The numbers and letters were pieced using Elizabeth Hartman's pattern Refrigerator Magnets.
It's done and basted! Now on to quilting!!

This is a great idea! You've got me thinking now!
