You may have noticed in last week's WIP, I was working on another chevron quilt. Well, the quilt is done and headed off to Project Linus as my second donation to 100 Quilts for Kids.
I made my first one almost a year ago and since then it's had some buzz, been pinned a lot and has sparked many questions and emails for me.
I have a bad habit of making things and not quite remembering how I did it. (I do that with cooking too!) So in the making of this baby, I took some photos and actually wrote down some measurements. I'm in the process of writing the tutorial which will post next week in 3 parts. This finished quilt is 39" x 45 1/2". So stay tuned!
There's still time to give and be eligable for prizes. Just head on over to 100 Quilts for kids!

YES to a tutorial!! Also, I vote for a quilt-a-long! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat! I can't wait for a tutorial! Can you please include measurements for the one that you made a year ago. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteVery generous of you, Cindy, to donate quilts for kids! Someone will really love this one.
ReplyDeleteDARLING!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I may have to give one a try when you post the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteWhat a CUTE quilt! Thank you in advance for a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteOK now you've done it. I was NOT going to start any new quilts -- but this one is just too cute. Will wait for your tut and start looking for some fabrics. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
ReplyDeleteVery nice quilt! And I do look forward to a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful quilt - your creativity amazes me! I'm sewing the last (center) seam on a 76" square duvet cover of Garden Fence in Kate Spain's Fandango fabric. I'll send you a note when I post a picture - I quilted it in quadrants, and it looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteCynthia, you are amazing! your quilts are always so gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're doing a tutorial on this! Can't tell you how many times I've looked at the original and tried to figure out the easiest way... :) Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteWill you a materials list soon? I usually have to order online
ReplyDeletethis is such an awesome quilt. Thanks for linking up to 100 Quilts!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're doing a tutorial on this. I've looked at the pics for your last one many times, and while it looks simple enough, I can't recreate it to save my life. It's the white verticle strip that throws me off - I can put a chevron together just fine, but when it has a tiny bit of sashing between it, I can't get anything to line up. Is it just me?
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful! Great colors and great lines.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beauty!
