Thanks for reading along as I share all the projects in my new book. One of the interesting things about making quilts for a book is that you spend so much time with them - when you're done, you're so ready to ship them off and move on. But then about a year later, they come back and you fall in love all over again. Yes, I'm so happy with every quilt in this book.
Many of you have shared in my excitement and I so appreciate that. I have a couple more quilts to tell you about, but before I do that ~ how about a giveaway announcement?
Next Monday morning I'll randomly pick 2 names from the comments on this post. One international reader will receive an ebook and one US reader will receive a signed hard copy.
Who doesn't love a scrappy quilt? And who doesn't have some scraps to use up? Meet "Check". She's the perfect quilt for using all kinds of fabric. Coordinated or totally scrappy.
Here's an earlier version I did. It has more of a sweet, Springy look to it.
The last quilt in the book is called "Coming Together". It's made from lots of scrappy Flying Geese and a fun larger scale print. I love this quilt, even though it seems a bit chaotic. Don't you think the holidays can be a bit chaotic in a happy way?
And an alternate version in one of my favorite combos ~ red and aqua.
So there you have it! A close up look at all the quilts in the book.
For a chance to win your own, leave a comment on this post. I'd love to know if you have a favorite quilt from the book; or what kind of sewing you're doing for Christmas; or what's your favorite Christmas fabric?
If you're an international reader, please note that in your comment - {I'd love to know where you're from} there will be 2 separate drawings. And please be sure there's an email address associated with your comment. I'll draw 2 winners Monday, September 30th at 8am. Good luck!!

I've loved getting a look at all the quilts in your book. I don't usually gravitate towards holiday fabrics. So I have no favorite there. For Christmas this year, I'm hoping to complete a few bags, a couple quilts, and I am helping my girls make mini quilts for the grandmas. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love your quilts and would love a copy of your book. Several of the quilts in it are on my "wanna do" list.
ReplyDeleteThose are such happy quilts! I'd love to win a copy of your book!
ReplyDeletetstanulis@mac.com
I like the simple and clean look of Check.
ReplyDeleteLoving all your quilts in this book. My favourite Christmas fabric would be Winters Lane.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts!!! I think my favorites are Coming Together and Garden Lattice. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI l ike the quilt on the cover of the book. It is a pretty way to use larger prints and really show them off. I'll probably make a Christmas quilt this year but I haven't decided on the design yet.
ReplyDeleteI really like the last one- Coming Together. It's so pretty in the aqua and red combination.
ReplyDeleteI really like Check - I want to make that one. Thanks for the chance to win.

Congrats on your book! I am so behind right now. I'm not even thinking Christmas yet. I am throwing together a Halloween quilt as we speak...or type...so that I can get started on my Christmas plans. It will be my first Christmas quilt so there is a lot of pressure. Hopefully I will get to choose a great one from your new book!
ReplyDeleteI really like the Coming Together quilt! It's just like my house during the holidays -- colorful, a bit chaotic, and nice & warm. :)
ReplyDeletelooks like every thing is gorgeous in there! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun book! I can't believe we are already thinking about Christmas quilting, yikes! It will be here before we know it, I'm sure. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSo many fun patterns to choose from. I think your cover quilt Snowball Games would have to be one of my favourites. In the past my Chritsmas sewing has always tended to be smaller items like pillows, table runners and wall hangings that I could pull together quickly and make good numbers of for gifting. This year though I'm going to start sewing more for myself so I'll be making all sorts. I'll be throwing pinks and aquas in along with the more traditional colours. Thanks so much for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of your international followers, reading your blog in lovely sunny Switzerland.
I really love Garden Lattice and the last quilt you showed, Coming together! Never had a Christmas quilt before, but this year I am planning to make one!
ReplyDeleteP.S I am european!
I'm a coming together fan! Reading from NZ. thanks Cindy :-)

ReplyDeleteYour book is at the top of my quilt book list, as there is so much inspiration whether one is quilting for Christmas or not! We are tempted by many quilt books for different reasons - often with that ONE quilt in it that you'd like to make, right? Yours is different as we are loving it all...I sought it out for Garden Lattice, but am really loving your cover quilt the best...beautiful simplicity, and I really can't wait to see it in different fabrics on Flicker! Great book !
ReplyDeleteI love "coming together"! Thanks so much for the giveaway and the hard work.

Thanks for the opportunity - is it worth mentioning that the drawing is on my 40th birthday?!! :-)

I love that each block is different in design and that traditional blocks can be made to look so different by simple fabric choices. The scrappier, the better. My favorite is Check. I love all the white background.
ReplyDeleteI love scrappy quilts too! But I love whole cloth quilts! I really love all quilts! Modern. Traditional. I do love your scrappy borders and your red and aqua combo. I'm. ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely book! My favorite Christmas fabric right now is a whole line from Moda, Winter's Lane. The tree print with the cardinals stole my heart right away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win!
Wonderful Book! I had to scroll way back in your blog to see other projects shared from this book. I have such a huge bin of Christmas fabrics. I especially like to find vintage Christmas in thrift stores or at estate sales. I have a few lovely pieces that would lose their vintage goodness if I added them to a quilt. So, I just keep setting those aside and someday I will have opportunity to use the collection in a wonderful way. There are a few patterns in this new book of yours that would do the job nicely!
ReplyDeleteThe flying geese are adorable...thats my favorite!
ReplyDeleteCindy, your new book is full of great looking quilts it's hard to decide my favorite. I'm drawn to the cover quilt and the Coming Together ones, but like the Argyle one too!! There are so many great patterns in this book that I'd love to win a personalized copy from you. Thanks for all your inspirations.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to make a Granny Square quilt for my 26 year old daughter using fabric scraps from clothing made by her Grandmother and both Great Grandmothers. I hope it turns out as beautifully in real life as I imagine in my head. If not, at least it will be meaningful and loved nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI'm a regular old blog follower from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
I'm going to make a lap quilt and maybe a table quilt. I have In From the Cold and some of the Ho, Ho, Ho fabrics in mind for these Christmas-y projects.

ReplyDeleteI'm an international reader - from Australia. I have recently been doing some volunteer work overseas and only just arrived back home yesterday. If course the first order of business is to get sewing - I owe some family member's tree skirts I've been promising them for a few years, so that's what I'll be doing.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love any type of scrap quilt, the brighter the better
