Camden Road QAL Prizes!

In one week we'll be kicking off of the Camden Road Quilt Along!  It's a fun quilt to make and I hope you'll be joining Cheryl and I!  You can find out all about the quilt along here and you may want to join the Facebook group.

Now is the time to get the pattern and you can still get it for 25% off through January 28th using the code CAMDENROAD. The code will only work on the Camden Road pattern and only in the shop (not on Etsy).

It's also a good time to be thinking about what fabric to use to make your quilt as we'll start cutting next week. I've decided to make a charity quilt for the Greenville MQG's Quilts for Kids program. I'll be making 6 blocks and adding borders that compliment the design. Stay tuned for more info on that!

I've chosen fabrics from my stash and intend to use a variety fabrics and make it a bit more scrappy than the original. Here is what I've pulled in navy, green, aqua and white. Here's a tip: You want to be sure that your colors and fabrics contrast well with both of your background fabrics.

And here is the mock-up of what I'm going for...

And now for the prizes!!

We have some wonderful and very generous sponsors lined up.  All prizes will be given out randomly to those who enter the reveal parade link party at the end of the quilt along.

Without further ado, here are the sponsors in random order...

While Needle & Foot has been around since 2014, Bernie began stocking fabric in January of 2017. She strives to carry a wide variety of quilting cottons.  In her Etsy shop, you will find a large selection of small fat quarter bundles, an affordable way to have a collection of pieces from one line without having to buy the entire fat quarter bundle.  Also, Bernie has recently expanded and now carries a selection of voiles and stretch knit fabrics for sewing garments. Providing individual help is a pleasure for Bernie so don’t hesitate to contact her with questions or concerns when selecting fabrics.

Needle & Foot created some super fun quilt kits for the Camden Road QAL which make up a baby or lap sized quilt.

  1. I like your mock-up, especially the way you extended the background to form the border.
