We're continuing to make blocks this week and Cheryl is sharing her progress at
Meadow Mist Designs.
Cheryl and I differ in our approaches to quilt making in that she loves the efficiency of assembly line piecing and I like to make one block at a time.
I need the instant gratification of seeing a block and
sometimes often change my mind as I go. Although I do admit to assembly line piecing as I get to the end as I'm ready to finish and get on to the next project! :)
How about you?
Dear Cindy: I also like to do my quilts a block at a time and look at them on my wall I constructed using Styrofoam sheets covered with flannel. It's all in our eye appeal using color/artistic appeal. Everyone is different like the snowflakes. The three blocks look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI usually do a test block from start to finish and then for the most part chain piece the rest in batches ☺️
ReplyDeleteI also prefer to work assembly line style. But how great is it, that we all can do whatever works for our own preferences/brains?! :)
