A finished quilt and more...

This week was spent finishing up the quilting on my Marmalade quilt.
I won a layer cake of "Bliss" and decided to use the pattern exactly as pictured (a rarity for me).
The quilting took a while - lots of custom feathered wreaths and leaves.
And I'm happy with how it turned out!
I'm headed to CA tomorrow, so the blog will be silent for a bit. I put some UFO's up on my design wall. I'm going to make some progress on these when I get back.

"City Lights" from City Quilts. I'm making this for my urban son who'll be moving to a new apartment this Summer.
I've got 8 or 9 Joseph's Coat blocks done and I've decided to put them together into a small wall quilt. Just need to read the directions carefully and figure out how to put these together.
My Soul Blossoms Dresdens are multiplying. These go pretty quick and I'll be putting them together soon!
I pieced some of my leftover triangles into Zig Zag rows. I'm not sure I'm really loving this. I did it because I had triangles I wanted to use up, but I'm not sure it's worth my time if I don't love the result. Mmm, waste time or waste fabric? What do you do?
I got a Stylish Blogger Award this week from Natalie at Threaded Mess. When I get back I'll be sharing 6 of my favorite new blogs to pass on the award. Thanks Natalie!

Of course I'll be watching the reports from Spring Quilt Market. Always an exciting time. You can find who'll be blogging from Market with all the scoops here.

  11. Hmmm ... maybe if all of the triangles were pointing the same way instead of zig-zagging??

  13. I think the triangles are my favourite, something a bit mesmerising about them, bit like an old barbers pole :)
