Stems... a finished quilt!

The final reveal of Stems ~ a pattern by Fig Tree Quilts.

It's a mix of my favorite colors and fabrics on a gray Essex linen background.
I love the look and texture of the linen, but it does result in a bit heavier feel to the quilt ~ not as soft and drapey.

The quilting is an allover leaf design ~ seemed appropriate.

I love this fabric and it seemed like the perfect choice for a backing. It's from La Dee Da by Erin McMorris.

And the binding is from the same line

Another quilt that makes me happy! . . . Cindy

  2. It's gorgeous! I love your use of that la dee da ticker tape print for the binding. It's like using a stripe, but more fun!

  3. When I started quilting last summer I would completely finish one project before I started another. It's the accountant part of my brain! Now I, too, like to have one project in each stage. Sometimes I feel like cutting, sometimes piecing, sometimes quilting (never sandwiching!) and I always enjoy the binding. Love your Stems fabric and finish!

  6. This quilt looks like your colors, perky and fresh. It's very pretty and I think your quilting is very appropriate too. Nice finish on the binding. That is one of my favorite things to do and I love a stripe or something similar there too.
