W.I.P. wednesday

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

This will be my first link-up with WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced.

I'm definitely not a quilter who works on one project at a time ~ and I needed to take a little inventory! I do seem to always have a quilt at some stage in the quilt-making process. So here they are:

2 quilts with bindings machine stitched and ready for some hand stitching.

My Modern Alphabet quilt under the machine. I'm stitching straight lines on the letters and a paisley background fill in the negative space.

I've got 3 piecing projects in the works. First up, Bella using a block design from Sew, Mama Sew.

I'm making a new Chevron quilt, taking pictures and hope to have a full tutorial sometime this month!

And finally, I'm piecing a String quilt using the tutorial from Film in the Fridge. It's the start of my goal to use up some scraps! 18 blocks done ~ 24 to go!

I always like to have a hand-stitching project in the works.  3 done ~ more to go!

Lastly, these are not "Works in Progress" although they need to be! My pile of tops waiting to become quilts. How does this happen?? . . . Cindy

  5. You HAVE been busy lately, that's for sure. The string blocks are right up my alley -- although yours are much prettier and color coordinated than mine usually are. I'd say you have as many tops to be quilted as someone else I know! Your projects are all lovely colors. Such a nice collection. BTW Thank you so much for your donations of other lovely tops that no longer tickle your fancy. I know they will be loved and appreciated by someone else.
