Tula Pink's Modern Alphabet

Be prepared for picture overload! I so love this quilt!
The pattern is Tula Pink's Modern Alphabet.

I used her newest line The Birds and The Bees.

The binding is this awesome funky stripe. I could own gobs of that stripe!

A couple of close-ups of some letters. I actually changed a few of the letters from the original pattern. There was nothing wrong with them, I just do that.

When I attended Tula's lecture in Brunswick this Summer, I was so impressed with her backings. She has then custom printed to be a giant label for the quilt.

Since the quilt was composed of letter blocks, I decided to repeat the letters on the back documenting the maker (me) and the year.

These letters are from Elizabeth Hartman's pattern, Refrigerator Magnets. Really fun to piece!

  1. Love the quilt! Is that stripe you used for binding shiny metallic? or is that just the photo? Either way it is awesome!

    1. No metallic in the stripe, but looking back I can see how you thought that. Just the way the sun's hitting!

  4. Cindy, this quilt rocks. I love the back better than the front, I think!
