Red Letter Day

Red Letter Day ~ a new Thimbleblossoms pattern ~ super quick and fun one too! I'll let the pictures do the talking today :-)

I'm happy with the quilting too! I did a big "X" through the center of the quilt in both directions, then echoing straight lines, creating a "V" in each quadrant.

Backing and binding coordinate nicely with the front...

Making it a Red Letter Day!

  2. Love it, Cindy! At guild meeting last month someone brought an antique top using that pattern. I commented to them that the quilt looked so "modern" because of the blown up size of the blocks!! LOL

  5. Fresh, pretty and lots of fun! Quilting the "X" was an inspired choice - just works so perfectly on this quilt! I saw on Camille's blog that she did a Red Letter Day workshop on her trip to Australia - some great shots of more than 40 of these blocks!

  11. You're such a fast quilter! It's taken me all weekend to decide if I want to start a single Irish Chain or Red Letter Day. And you've started and finished 3 or 4 already. Maybe someday ... Your quilts are beautiful!
